Denim is a fabric you can take advantage of year-round. Of course, you can always stick to a classic pair of jeans, but why not have a little more fun with your look? For a new spin on an old favorite, go beyond your standard blue jeans, as new trends are nothing short of enticingly delicious. The first fun way to change your regular jeans is with a little bit of paint. It can be an easy DIY project or you save your walls of spraying colours and just buy them ;-)
Now, if you’re really getting into denim go for a cute and flirty romper. A denim romper is usually blended with synthetic materials like polyester or rayon in order to achieve the flowing, loose nature of a typical design. That being said, it still helps you satisfy the denim trend. Try something along the lines of Alexa Chung’s vibrant jean romper. Complete the look with a similar pair of ankle boots, and you’re ready for a day out on the town.
And if you’re really feeling denim adventurous go for denim overalls. Classic denim colors in a boyfriend-style pant leg are the most popular at the moment, but there are other options out there for those of you who don’t want to jump right into the styles of your youth or can’t bare your boyfriends complaining about ‘those farmer pants’. For example, if the denim look makes you feel a little too country for your liking, try their sweater counterparts—sweateralls. Mashable claims that sweateralls can be cooler and comfier than denim varieties, but that’s a matter of personal opinion.
If rompers or overalls aren’t your style, a denim dress could be just the ticket and they just happen to be my personal denim favorite. The designer collections of women’s dresses from Lyst highlight several denim dress styles straight off the recent runways of London, Paris, Milan, and New York. You can find hundreds of denim dresses in all sorts of styles such as off-the-shoulder designs, belted varieties, and everywhere in between. Better still, a denim dress is easy to pair with all sorts of accessories. Pair them with your Toms or throw on a pair of saddle boots. You can also experiment with different scarves and jewelry to make the outfit pop. I’m on the hunt for a perfect one too ;-)
